POP Setup for Outlook & Outlook Express

This page will guide you through the steps of how to set up an email account.

Step 1

Open Outlook Express. On the menu bar, at the top of the screen, click on "Tools", and then click on "Accounts".

Step 2

Click on the "Add" button, then the "Mail" button.

Step 3

The Internet Connection Wizard will start and you will be prompted for the "Display Name". When an email is sent, your display name is sent as well. Click "Next" after you are done.

Step 4

Type in your email address. Type in your email address, make sure it is all in lowercase. Click "Next" to continue.

Step 5

For the Incoming mail server, type in "mail.your website name". Eg. if your website is www.bob.com type "mail.bob.com". For the outgoing mail server enter "mail.bob.com". Your screen should look similar to the one below.

Step 6

In this step, enter the username and password that we provided you with. Your email address might already be there, NOTE: Your email address is NOT your username , you must replace it with the username that we give you. You can place a check mark on the "Remember Password" checkbox if you don't want to type in your password every time you check your email box. Click the "Next" button.

Step 7

Click the "Finish" button.

Step 8

You should now see your mail account in the Internet Accounts windows, Click "Close" to finish the setup process. If you have another active email account then you must click on the newly created account so it becomes highlighted and then click on the "Set As Default" button. You are now ready to check your email!
